| The Griottes are a tipical product of Fougerolles. Indeed, Fougerolles is nicknamed "the cherry city" as a lot of producers are located there. The word Griotte comes from the Occitan "agriotta", "griota", "griotte", derived of "agre", "aigre" (sour). Our Griottes are pitted and macerated in a syrop with alcohol and Kirsch. You can enjoy them alone, or use them in cooking. They are ideal to decorate your drinks (coktails), meals (game with a Griotte sauce) or desserts (melon, ice cream, tiramisu, cakes...). |
