A
mere thirty years ago, pear brandy had not been invented. Today,
it is the most highly appreciated of all the fruit brandies.
With its full yet subtle flavour, this brandy is best served
in a chilled glass in order to fully appreciate its smooth aroma
and flavour. |

9kg of fresh
pears are required in order to obtain one 70cl bottle at 45%
vol., i.e., 28 kg of fruit in order to manufacture 1 litre
of pure alcohol (1 litre at 100% vol.).
The ageing
process varies depending on where the fruit comes from, the
year of harvest and the special touch brought by the distiller.
William's pear brandy has complex aromas which require longer
than usual in order to come into fullness.
William's pear brandy should be savoured well chilled, preferably
in a cooled glass in order for it to do proper justice to
the richness of the lands where it is harvested and to fully
appreciate the fine and subtle flavours of the fruit.
Several orchards are also dedicated to cultivating the
"Imprisoned Pear".
